Hello everyone, my name is Themis Melidis and this is one of my blogs. As a student in M1 of master QEF, I have the chance to be acquainted to some economic and financial principles and investigate them in depth, wherever this is required.
My previous education includes a ptixio, a Greek diploma which is equivalent to a bachelor and a master degree, in the field of mechanical engineering. I graduated the Polytechnic of Athens, NTUA, with an overall degree 8,2/10 in the (obligatory) five years of schooling.
In the final dissertation I had to make a model to analyse the impact of the Olympic Games of Athens as far as economy, environment and society, the three cores of sustainable development, are concerned.
In this blog I’ll review some of the everyday work I do, whenever that’s possible. Indeed, it will be useful for me as for every engineer trying to initiate himself to the latest principles of economics and finance.
